Stuart graduated from the University of Nottingham in the UK and after time spent both there and in Sydney as a junior doctor he spent almost 8 years living in Sweden. He completed joint anaesthesia and intensive care training at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm and practiced there as a specialist with particular experience in trauma and neuro-critical care. He was subsequently drawn back to Australia and RPA and attained his ICU fellowship here too. Stuart is heavily involved with the RPA ECMO retrieval service and also sits on the hospital CERS and airway committees.
