Carlos graduated from the University of Sydney and then completed his ICU training at Royal North Shore Hospital and the Royal Adelaide Hospital before coming to RPA as a Post-Graduate Fellow. His special interest areas are in surgical and trauma intensive care medicine as well as ECMO. His non-clinical portfolio is focused on clinical governance, precision medicine and bioinformatics, Fellowship Exam education and trainee wellbeing. When not working at RPA or as a VMO in Northern NSW, he can be found at the pool, reliving the glory days of a former competitive swimming career or exploring the Inner-West coffee scene with his family.
