Paul graduated from the University of London with a degree in Pharmacy and transferred to the University of Sydney where he completed a PhD before graduating in Medicine. He completed dual Specialist training in Thoracic and Sleep Medicine at Royal North Shore and Royal Prince Alfred Hospitals and Intensive Care Medicine at Royal Prince Alfred and theJohn Radcliffe Hospitals, Oxford, UK. He is Clinical Associate Professor of Intensive Care Medicine, University of Sydney. He is the current Director Intensive Care at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse hospital and Past Director Intensive Care Services, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and past Director Intensive Care at Manly, Mona Vale and Ryde Hospitals. He also works as an Intensivist at the Mater Hospital, Sydney
