Welcome to the Royal Prince Alfred Intensive Care Service
Based in Sydney, NSW, the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital’s Intensive Care Service (ICS) is a quaternary referral centre attached to the University of Sydney that provides evidence based care to complex medical and surgical patients.
It is the liver transplant centre for NSW and is one of the highest volume extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) centres in Australia, being one of the two ECMO retrieval centres in NSW.
The RPA ICS respectfully acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the traditional owners and custodians of the land in which our hospital is located.
